Mound Westonka Hockey

Volunteer Policy Update:

1)       We want to encourage First Year Mites to participate in Volunteering.  This is a great way to get involved into the Hockey Community and meet new friends.   Easy ways to volunteer are working in the concession stands during Mite skills and practice times.

3)       A cancellation Policy was added to the Volunteer Policy, where Each item in the system can/will have a unique date that it can be cancelled by. Most items will have a 7+ day cancellation policy, so we can manage expectations for coverage. Members are still responsible for their item until the request is granted by the Administration for the cancellation. They will receive verification that they have successfully sent a cancellation request to Admin. The Admin will cancel their request and the item will revert back to available status.

Dibs Item Update:

In the Dibs system there are MANY items that are not Jamboree related, so please take a look. These get updated frequently, so please keep checking the site.

1)      All home game concessions have been added into the system and many are 1.5 hours - 2 hours in length and have two items available for each game.

2)      There will be many more items added into the Dib system and are working proactively to add the items far in advance

3)      Please review the items and remember that you can filter by category to ease your viewing needs.

AlthAlthough locker rook chaperones are part of the Dibs program, they are NOT managed via the Dibs website. Each team manager is responsible for managing this process. At the end of the seaon each team manager will compile the hours and names to turn in for credit to the Dibs Coordinator.

 OnOne last reminder.  As the Volunteer Program is new to the MWHA as of 2010-2011 season, your feedback is VERY important.  The changes that were made to the Volunteer Policy in October is because of feedback from our membership community.  If you have feedback, please do not hesitate to contact Judy Hatchett(jjhatchett@msn.com ).  We encourage feedback.
