MWHA Board of Directors Elections

The Mound Westonka Hockey Association strives to promote and maintain an amateur youth hockey association that delivers a positive, safe, fun and competitive youth hockey experience for all youth in the MWHA program. The MWHA Board of Directors are responsible for managing and administering all hockey operations, financial decisions, and communications including but not limited too; fundraising, tryouts, volunteer program (DIBS), jersey’s and spirit wear, web site, etc. As a MWHA Board member, you will help administer the programs and initiatives in a specific area that ensure we have a strong hockey association for our MWHA membership. Board of Directors serve three year terms.


Elections for Board of Directors shall occur annually based on the term of each position. Such annual election shall be held at the call of the President not sooner than February 1st, but not later than April 1st of each year.

Nominations will be open February 26 through day of the election, March 30, 2018. Any office not filled by election shall be filled by appointment by the Board of Directors.

  • Marketing Director
  • Player Recruitment & Rookie Camp Director
  • Tournaments Director
  • Volunteer / DIBS Director

Individuals may express specific interest in any or all of the available open positions. The eight individuals receiving the most votes, regardless of the position you prefer, will be offered a position on the Board. The specific role/position for each newly elected Board member is determined by the existing Board members.
